Dr. João M. Santos is a researcher at Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa specializing in data analysis and science studies. His current goal is finding out more about how scientists define their research agendas, so that we can better understand how the way to scientific discovery is paved. Beyond his work on research agendas, he also does scientific work in the fields of higher education, public policy, data analysis, and psychology.
Beyond his research, he has over a decade of experience providing consultancy services for individuals, firms, universities, and government agencies at an international level, including clients from the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Dr. Santos holds a PhD in Psychology and has post-graduate studies in data science, including statistical analysis, programming, data mining, and machine learning. He maintains an active participation in several international projects.
Dr. Santos’s unique combination of skills allows him to provide multidisciplinary data analysis services. His quantitative analysis are always coupled with qualitative interpretations, creating further robustness and leading to the creation of working theories and hypothesis.
